Just happened to come across this place, and we were definitely glad we did. It is off the beaten path for sure but worth the short drive out to it. I would recommend calling first or making a reservation because there was an hour and a half wait by the time we left. Our waitress was great. She gave us a rundown of the place and the menu. All fresh, local, homemade food.. and everything tasted excellent. We had an appetizer of Crawfish 'cakes' over fried green tomatoes. We tried the catfish bite poor boy sandwich, and the Stave burger with pimento cheese.. both were very flavorful. And then.. the bread pudding. Just yum! Definitely recommend!

Justin was our server. He was energetic, friendly and very helpful. The fried green tomato & pimento cheese sandwich with candied bacon were excellent. As good as anything similar in Charleston restaurants. Chocolate chip bread pudding with butter whiskey sauce also excellent. Extensive bourbon selection

This was better than expected and that it shows online which never happens for me. I had the house made pimento cheese sandwich and house salad with house made green goddess. My husband had the bologna sandwich and added pimento cheese instead of the American cheese and had fries as his side. Everything was fantastic. I couldn't believe how great the green goddess was and how fresh the salad was. The sandwich killed as well with house made chow chow and house made bacon jam. They need to sell containers of this stuff. I think they are considering it.

What a hidden little gem! The food was amazing! I had the hot honey chicken sandwich and my husband had the pimento cheese hamburger and both were amazing. The atmosphere was very comfortable and the bourbon selection was impressive. I would recommend this place to anyone staying in the Frankfort area.

Absolutely love this place as a stop to eat when touring Woodford and Castle & Key. Their menu is simple but you can count on every item being delicious, and they have a great bar. Our server was awesome as we were a large group and in a hurry, she was very accommodating. She even pointed out the added gratuity so we didn’t double tip, classy.

First time ever stopping in, food was amazing, my steak was perfectly prepared, and the rest of my group loved their meals. But the real highlight for us was the absolutely amazing service from Brian, had consistently delightful and tasteful banter with us throughout our meal. He really made the experience one of a kind and we were all glad to have had him as our server

Literally ate so fast I didn't get pictures. We had Steak Frittes and the BBQ Platter which were both wonderful! My steak was cooked a perfect medium, which is hard to come by. We had 4 different craft cocktails that did not disappoint either! Brittany, our server, was very friendly and helpful with suggestions. We would definitely recommend and will be back when we're close!

I ate here with a group of people and everyone was pleased with the experience. The atmosphere is excellent and the drink menu is extensive. The food options are a little limited but they are delicious. Popular items at our table were the cheese grits, the burgoo and the bread pudding.
